NEW YORK — In a pretend show of support for larger women, the May issue of Vogue features a 16-page spread focusing on plus-size models. “These plus-size beauties are every bit as gorgeous as the models you usually see in magazines,” said Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who has never before and will never again publish photos of normal-sized women. “Female beauty comes in many shapes and sizes, and this spread is a celebration of that fact.” Vogue’s June issue is slated to celebrate female boniness, featuring hundreds of photos of women weighing no more than 103 pounds.
Gotta love the Onion.
I am a plus size model in sanfrancisco, so seeing that magazines like vouge are begging to
aknowlege that we exist makes me hopefull for the future of the plus size industry. As far as
celibrating boniness goes, If we can celibrate being “curvaliciouse”, skinny people can celibrate themselvesa to.
I hope they have fun even though thats a party I doubt Ill ever be invited to.
I see why you’re a model and not a scholar. Concatenated San Francisco into one noncapitalized word; misspelled the following words:

Im not a plus size – but i do have curves, extra skin, and bones that dont show through. And I just want to tell all the plus size models out there that you are a million times more beautiful than any runway model out there. THe sight makes me sick and the reason I came to this site ws looking for pics/information on plus size models to hang in my girls bathroom. I am a Resident Assistant at a college and do not want my incoming freshman girls to fall into the statistic of college girls with eating disorders. Thanks!
