I’ve been running a personal website/weblog/blog since 1998. I bought the andysocial domain in 1999. This makes me one of the old people on the web, but somehow that guy John Scalzi gets all the attention. Scalzi’ personal site is slightly older than mine (measured in months), Wil Wheaton is a couple years behind us, but both of those men are much better about updating their blogs routinely. To be fair to myself, I can’t update from work and I kind of don’t get on the “big” computer at home much. Blogging from a phone is insane – do not do that.
So, it’s been a big year. Democrats are dominant across the federal government and my state government (Texas, whoda thunk it?).
And, I just busted out the Artisan Bread recipe book to bake some more cheddar bread. I’ll be making potato leek soup for dinner.
Without a lot of personal drama, my thoughts don’t tend to be very original. Sure, I could say something about politics, but Scalzi and Wheaton and Steve Hofstetter all do that better. I can’t talk about work, so…
Anyway, one more year of paying for hosting down. Maybe I’ll have something exciting in two years.
