According to this site, Tom Green County has a median household income $8800 lower than the national median. And, the per capita income is $5400 lower than the national per capita income.

So why are we building so many new businesses here, exactly?

Well, it’s interesting that the unemployment and bankruptcy rates are lower in TG County than in Texas OR the U.S. I wonder how the cost of living compares to the medians for Texas and the U.S.? I mean the nation median income includes California, Florida, New York, and the DC area, where land, homes and the cost of living are unreal. You make less here, but you may get more for your money.
