There are many companies selling parachute cord and supplies, but some have consistently proven to be reliable and trustworthy. If you're not willing to spin the roulette wheel on ebay or Amazon, you can count on these folks. Most of these sites have real-time inventory systems, so you can't back-order materials. This is not to be inconvenient, but to be honest. There are only a few American cord manufacturers, and the retailers are all dependent on that supply chain. If you want a color that they don't have, they are being honest when they say they don't know when it will be in. So, without further ado:

• Supply Captain is one of the longest-lived companies and Mark (the captain) is a great source of information and material. They stock cord in many categories, including reflective and glow-in-the-dark, as well as buckles and other supplies. All cord is US-made.

• Robby's Sales stocks some unusual colors and patterns, including the "tweed" line that seems to be exclusively theirs. All US-made.

• Paracord Galaxy, formerly Full Belly Insurance, likely had one of the stranger names for a supply company, so they finally changed to reflect what people were really buying from them. Good prices, frequent sales, and reliable shipping.

• Mr. Paracord has both US-made and foreign-made cord, including both nylon and polyester materials. They do include all that information in the description of each item, so be sure to check if these things are important to you.

• Paracord Online has discounts for larger orders. They stock only US-made cord.

• Paracord Planet carries a good variety, and calls the mil-spec cord "titanium" just to be confusing. But, they have categories for 425 cord, 275, micro, and nano, as well as the usual 550 cord. All US-made.

• ExtremePara stocks 550, 450, and 425 cords. The owner, Bart, is active on several Facebook paracord groups. The 425, 450 and 550 they sell is all US-made with US manufactured raw materials. They primarily sell cord from E.L. Wood and Franklin Braiding. They also sell hand crafted paracording jigs, lacing needles, and all sorts of tools, supplies and accessories.
